Hi, I’m Rachel! I grew up on the East Coast where I got my B.A. in Psychology at William Paterson University, and my M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Seton Hall University. Before going back to school for OT, I spent some time managing residential group homes. After becoming an OT, I worked in a public school district in Hawaii, in a specialized school in Pennsylvania, and in a charter school in Philadelphia. I visited Alaska (yes, in the winter to be sure 😊), and knew I wanted to move up here long-term, so I took a job in acute care with Providence. While I enjoy my work in acute care, I also miss working with kiddos! So, I am very excited to be joining Forget Me Not’s occupational therapy team as a part-time therapist.
I have a delightfully sweet husky, Oona, and a social, life-of-the-party, kitty named Ernest. In my free time, I enjoy writing and reading (always with a hot drink, and the cozier, the better), hiking, skiing, enjoying the outdoors, having game nights with friends, and getting into a new hobby for a while (I’m currently getting better at making sourdough bread and homemade lemon curd).
I look forward to meeting you all!
