Meet Malaea, our new Administrative Assistant!

She is a third-year student at UAA, studying kinesiology to help her eventually earn her graduate degree in occupational therapy. She was born and raised in Alaska, and she loves doing all things outdoors, such as hiking, skiing, and snowmachining. She also enjoys volunteering with Challenge Alaska. She gravitated towards this career path through personal and family experience; not only is her aunt an OT, but her cousin also received OT services due to a sudden illness. She is excited to see where this career takes her and to grow with the challenges that she faces!
